Dear Members,
CDRI is organizing a Learning Webinar Series on Infrastructure Resilience in Island States. Aligned with solutions from the Call to Action: Resilient Infrastructure for SIDS and Coastal Regions, the webinar series aims to share the learnings from First IRIS Programme Cohort (2024-26), exchange knowledge, and promote partnerships towards enhancing resilience in the SIDS.
The series will run through March 2027, with monthly learning webinars that will spotlight IRIS project grants which have concluded/are set to conclude this year. It will highlight the key milestones, lessons and outcomes from each of the projects, and will be co-organized with the project implementing partners. The series will be hosted on the DRI Connect platform and will be open to all interested audiences from across SIDS and other regions.
The second webinar in this series to be held on 14 October 2026 will spotlight the project titled ‘Strengthening Institutional and Technical Capacity for Climate Resilient Transport Infrastructure Development in Papua New Guinea’ which is being hosted in collaboration with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) along with the Department of Works and Highways, the Government of Papua New Guinea. The project provides a comprehensive framework for integrating climate and disaster resilience into the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of road and bridge infrastructure in Papua New Guinea.
