• Dear Members,

CDRI is organizing a Learning Webinar Series on Infrastructure Resilience in Island States. Aligned with solutions from the Call to Action: Resilient Infrastructure for SIDS and Coastal Regions, the webinar series aims to share the learnings from First IRIS Programme Cohort (2024-26), exchange knowledge, and promote partnerships towards enhancing resilience in the SIDS.

The series will run through March 2027, with monthly learning webinars that will spotlight IRIS project grants which have concluded/are set to conclude this year. It will highlight the key milestones, lessons and outcomes from each of the projects, and will be co-organized with the project implementing partners. The series will be hosted on the DRI Connect platform and will be open to all interested audiences from across SIDS and other regions.

The first in the series, Learning Webinar 1: Multi-threat Early Warning System in the Dominican Republic is scheduled on 9 September 2026, from 9.00 - 10.15 AST / 18.30 - 19.45 IST. It is being organized in collaboration with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and the Emergency Operations Centre (COE) of the Government of the Dominican Republic and will focus on enhancing risk and vulnerability data management to strengthen early warning systems and governance mechanisms for disaster response planning and preparedness.
