Community of Practice on Resilient Infrastructure for Energy Transition Building Climate Resilience in the Hydropower Sector Through Early Warning Systems
Concept note on the Community of Practice on Resilient Infrastructure for Energy Transition Building Climate Resilience in the Hydropower Sector Through Early Warning Systems.
The Community of Practice aims to facilitate dialogues and develop a series of knowledge products to promote medium to long-term climate change adaptation and strengthen the resilience of hydropower in regions that are drought-prone and in high mountain regions through robust EWS mechanisms. The potential outcomes that emerge from this initiative will result in the development of robust climate databases, help strengthen local capacity needs, address technical issues including the modernization of EWS for the hydropower sector, help ensure better financial flows and help coordinate resilient infrastructure development and achieve mutual benefits for all the stakeholders involved.
