This Position Paper aims to provide input to the Chapter on Finance of the Biennial Report on Global Infrastructure Resilience. The chapter further defines several problems and possible solutions to streamline finance for climate-resilient infrastructure. The goal of this paper is to start a discussion and strengthen the dialogue where it already exists about changing a paradigm shift of project structuring. The rising threat of climate change on the overall function of human settlements and the availability of natural resources raises the question about the sustainability of the developmental approach that was followed for decades.
